My Husband

In just a few days, we will celebrate forty years of having Robert Jory Allen on this earth.  What a wonderful gift!
We had his birthday dinner early and these were taken that night as he opened his gifts from me and his best friend, Toby.
I love and respect this man so much.
I am grateful for his patience, diligence, love and kindness.  I am thankful that he is a man of God who leads our family.
I love you, Jory!

Mowing with Mater in her Abby bloomers
Gig 'Em!
She loves all of Aaron's backhoes!
Mowing before church.  Seriously, we LOVE the Mater mower.

We had a fun, sweet family day Saturday.  We had pictures taken on Main Street and it was a gorgeous day so we walked around down town for a while and then ate at Main Street Bread.
Then we changed into our Aggie Gear and headed to the Gaylord for a game watching party.  It was so much fun!  And Aaron loved the Gaylord.  He could watch the train for hours!
We had dinner with two families from Sunday School.  The host has two smokers and he made Turkey and Pork Shoulder that would blow your mind.  Abby devoured it.  And then she devoured Aaron's.  I'll give him credit for trying both meats, though.
Aaron loved playing with Thomas and Jack's cool toys.

Aaron waiting patiently.

On Friday, Papa and Dee took us to ride the Miniature Train in Fort Worth
It was the cutest thing
The kids both loved it (and they both almost fell asleep)
Afterwards, we went to Trinity Park and Abby gave us a run for our money!

Aaron was mowing with Mater this weekend and he had to do it just like Daddy.

He wore Daddy's glasses and gloves

Just like Daddy does when he mows

It was so sweet to watch

Today was Country Critter Pumpkin Patch Day at school!  Aaron got to pick a pumpkin, ride a pony and see all kinds of cute, cuddly animals.  He had such a fun day!

Aaron and Daddy

I took these at the Oktoberfest in Southlake Saturday.  It was such a sweet, fun day.

Another Word

When I listed the words Abby has the other day, I completely forgot 'yes'.  Which is funny because it was her first word and she uses it the most.  She says it real short 'yeah.' with a sharp nod of her head and everyone thinks it is so funny.  I should video it.
So she says uh oh, oh and whoa exactly like they sound (with lots of added inflection depending on the situation).  And she says yes (yeah), bug (ba), duck (da) and out (uh)

Aaron having fun

Aaron took this picture of himself.  He LOVES to take pictures.
At the park.  He LOVES the park.
At Souper Salad.  Which he LOVES.  Eating soup.  Which he LOVES.

Playing with his Lightening McQueen car while wearing his Lightening McQueen shirt.

I could just eat this girl up!

Touchdown! (Even though we were running bases).
Vegetable lasagna (second helping) at Souper Salad
The cutest little purple outfit with a cat on the front that I couldn't get a good picture of.  But she showed everyone her 'dat'.

Driving the backhoe.  Abby LOVES construction equipment.  Seriously.

And I want to keep track of her words like I did with Aaron.  She added 'duck' this week.  Which is really 'da' or something like it, but I count it if she consistently points at a picture of something and says the same sound to indicate it.  Plus 'ck' is hard.

So the words she says consistently, with meaning, unprompted are:  uh oh, whoa, oh, bug, duck, out
