Mother's Day

We left Horseshoe Bay in the morning on Sunday and headed to Fort Worth to have lunch at Rough Creek Lodge. I took these pictures before we left. 

 

 

Lunch was so good!!

 

When we got home there was this blanket from Sheri!  So soft - Andrew and I both love it!

 

 

I took the older kids to Toys R Us and they got light sabers and had epic battles all evening

 

 

 

Jory went to the store and made me a wonderful steak and shrimp dinner.  What a perfect Mother's Day Weekend!

 

 

 

 

 

Mother's Day Trip, Day Three

 

 

This was my view Saturday morning when I woke up

 

 

 

We made a day trip to Frederickburg and stopped at a wild flower farm.  It was wonderful!  We even bought some plants to bring home.

 We drove back to the condo and made one more stop for a view and then had dinner on the balcony again.

 I loved this day!

 

Mother's Day Trip, Day Two

After spending a lot of Thursday in the car we decided to stay on property Friday.  Our condo came with guest passes to Horseshoe Bay Resort and we could walk over and swim at several pools and the beach and we could also take advantage of several restaurants and other services.

We started with breakfast in the hotel and then spent the day swimming at the pool and beach.

Mother's Day Trip, Day One

 

 

 

On Thursday we left for our Annual Mother's Day Trip.  We went to Horseshoe Bay this year and I think we all agree it was the best trip yet.  We lucked into it.  We had been planning to go to Oklahoma and we got a condo on Horseshoe Bay in a silent auction last fall so we changed our plans.  It was fantastic.

 On the way we went through Austin and ate at Hula Hut on the lake because I love it!

 

 Then we went to a book store.  We always go to a book store.  This one (Book People) had the best children's section I have seen and the kids were in heaven.  We were there a long time and really enjoyed it.  I took this picture because it brought back memories of my childhood books.

 

 Our condo was on the water so we did a little swimming when we arrived

Perfect accommodations and a wonderful first day.  The older kids read the whole way and Andrew slept.  Everyone had his/her own room and everyone traveled and slept very well.
