School's Out Fun!

The kids get out of school early (10:05 and 10:35) on the last day of school.  Last year I took them to Chick Fil A as a special treat.  So we did it again this year.

Last year I let Aaron trade in his toy for ice cream, but they had earned a special ice cream treat we were going to have after naps, so we just had lunch this year.
We went straight to the Elliott's for swimming (and fruit bars)

Abigail starting the summer off right!

Abigail came home and CRASHED.  After a long nap we headed to our ice cream treat.

I swear they ordered KID cones.  I about died.   (And, clearly, they dressed themselves).
But they had a fantastic day and it was a great way to start off summer!

Last Day of School

Obviously, Mama has never made her a sign before (and I didn't make this one, either).

These are almost as good as the first day of school

Last full day of school/Graduation/Class Parties

What a full, fun day.  We took pictures before school.

This was Aaron's last real day as a Kindergartner

After we took Sweet Pea to school we headed to Kindergarten Graduation

This was the Class Picture before graduation

The graduation was really cute.  The kids performed several songs that they have been working hard on.  And there was a fantastic slide show at the end.

 Getting his diploma

Afterwards in the classroom

We had a bit of a break and then I came back to have one last lunch with Aaron as a kindergartner.  He had asked me to come one more time.  He loves our lunches together.

After lunch was recess and the class party.  Aaron with his good friend Woodman.  They went to Rockenbaugh together.  They aren't in the same Kindergarten class, but Woodman lives in our neighborhood.

Snow cones at the class party!

It was such a big fun day for Aaron!  He has had a fantastic year!

Next it was off to Abigail's end of year party!

I LOVED her teacher.  It was so perfect for Abigail.  Aaron's teacher was absolute perfection for him, too.  God really answered our prayers this year!
 Outside for a popsicle party!

 And monkey bar fun!

Sweet girls!

Such a great day and a great year!

Last week of school, Day Two

Yesterday after school we went to the Southlake Library because Aaron had already ready five hours (since the Reading Program started on Saturday) and wanted to get his first prize.

Today after school we ran to Grapevine Mills Mall to grab a couple of things.  The kids love to watch the Crocodile at Rainforest CafĂ©.

Last week of school

Whatever!  Can you believe this?!?

Weekend

We had a sweet laid back weekend.  I finally took the kids' birthday cupcake pictures on Friday.  I made almond cupcakes from Southern Living and they were really good.

 The six was pretty hard.

This was dove road behind our neighborhood.  We had to take an alternate route to church Sunday.
On Saturday we went to Southlake's Summer Kickoff in Town Square.

The kids had been talking about meeting the Ninja Turtles all week.

But they were by far the most excited about starting the Summer Reading Program at the library.  Aaron has already read 6 1/2 hours since Saturday.

Abigail made masks for her and Aaron

They waited Forever for balloon animals.
I told Jory it would be good practice for waiting to meet Elsa and Anna.

A purple and pink butterfly.

I went to Costco on Sunday so that Julie and I could make meals today.  We are writing another Crockpot Planner.  This one has beef (and turkey)!
On our way home from church Sunday taking our alternate route I spied a Taqueria we had never tried.  We impulsively pulled in and it was sooo good!

Love our sweet family and our sweet weekends!
