Christmas Pictures

This is the picture that we put in our Christmas Cards. It took us a long time to get a decent picture and we actually thought we weren't going to have a picture in our cards at all. In fact, we started our cards before we got this picture after church one day, so about 1/3 of the people who got Christmas Cards from us did not get a picture. If you are one of those folks and you would like one, let me know and I'll send it to you. This is a Christmas Picture taken in Ohio over Thanksgiving. It was made after we had done all of our cards so it didn't go out at all.
Today I had my 32 week appointment for Abby. I'll post pictures and more details tomorrow. Our C-Section has been scheduled for February 15 (Tuesday) at Noon. We have to be at the hospital at 10am. We have done SO much in Abby's room since Saturday. I am very excited to post pictures next week. I want everyone to see it.

A Fun Week

Tuesday December 7, 2010

I love watching you play with your Legos. These are real Legos that Grandma Sheri and Grandpa Tom got you for Christmas (early - we celebrated with them on Thanksgiving). You have Mega Blocks, but the Legos are smaller and require more effort to put together. You spent so much time getting them just right. I love to watch you working and thinking. Wednesday December 8, 2010

One of your favorite things right now is playing with canned goods. Here it looks like you were having a picnic! You've got Elmo with you which is another favorite thing.

Thursday December 9, 2010

We went to Tyler for the last time before Abby is born. Mama had to get some dental work finished and our sweet friends were having a baby shower for us on Friday. On the way we stopped in Dallas and had lunch with Laura and Braysen. It was so much fun.

Friday December 10, 2010

You and I had breakfast together at Chez Bazan before the shower - YUM.

Saturday December 11, 2010

We went to see your great-grandparents and you had such a good time playing with their dog, Bama. Bama did not enjoy it as much as you did! HA!

Shower

We had the sweetest shower in Tyler. I got a lot of precious things, but the best was being able to spend time with my friends one more time - it will be quite a while before I get to Tyler again. These first two pictures are of a six-piece set from Jacquelyn. You can't see it that well, but I LOVE it! It's also a 9 month outfit which is very nice.

Sweet Kate. I love her!

This is a precious outfit from Jessica. It says Daddy's Girl and Jory and I both love it.

Charity made Abby this blanket and a matching burp cloth! Isn't it wonderful?

Twenty-One Months

Aaron, you are 21 months old today! I can't believe we will be having your SECOND birthday party soon. You are SO fun right now and I enjoy every minute with you! You organize EVERYTHING, but your favorite thing to organize right now is our food! You have learned to say 'can' and 'bag'. You ask for a bag filled with canned goods to take to your playroom!

You have over 50 words now that you say in context without prompting. Some of them are hard to understand (you can't say 'C', so 'cat' is 'dat' and you can't say 'P', so 'Papa' is 'Baba'), but we love to hear you talk. You say 'Baby' and point to the refrigerator when you want your Yo Baby Yogurt and you say 'Big' when you see a truck. You love to point to Mama's stomach and say 'Baby'. You also love to kiss the baby. You are super sweet.

The words you have added since last month are:

Oh no, Beans, Egg, Blocks, Bear, Bible, Whoa, Plate, Cheese, Car, Can, Please, Uh Oh, Nose, Teeth, Big, Wipe, Hat, Abby, Moo, Bag, Neck

We love you so much and we love to watch your wide-eyed wonder. You are so special!

Having fun with you!

Aaron, you are such a sweet, fun boy! I can not tell you how much I am enjoying being with you! You are very animated and funny. You are almost always very, very happy. You are easy to take places and you are just easy, period. This is a great time for you and I!

Wednesday December 1, 2010

You love to organize things - especially canned goods and the dishes! Thursday December 2, 2010

You love your Bible and you love to pray. You love to say 'Amen!'

Saturday December 4, 2010

You got real Legos for Christmas from Grandma Sheri and Grandpa Tom. You love them and you get very focused on building with them. In fact, that's what you are doing as I type this.

You love your daddy so much. You get very excited when he comes home from work and you don't like to let him out of your sight on weekends.

You LOVE books! You 'read' all by yourself for long periods of time, but you also really love to be read to. We will read every book you own several times every day.

Sunday December 5, 2010

You love applesauce. You ask for it at every meal. We can't let you have nearly as much as you want, but you sure do enjoy what you get.

Tuesday December 7, 2010

You love your grandpas. This was taken while you were waiting for Papa John at lunch. You kept saying 'Papa?' and looking out the window. You love him very much. You went to Grandad's yesterday and you couldn't get enough of playing with him. You sure are loved!

Some things I had to share...

Lately Aaron has been asking for his own Bible. He has noted that Daddy has a Bible and Mama has a Bible and Aaron needs a Bible. So I pulled out the Baby's First Bible he was given from his grandparents before he was born. He was so excited! He carries it around and says, 'Bible!'. The picture above is Aaron reading his Bible. He sits down often and does that. The picture below is him hamming for the camera before lunch today. I thought it was too cute!

Abby's Stuff and an Update

I had my 29 week Doctor's Appointment last week and everything was very well! Abby is extremely active and even the doctor commented on it! My blood pressure was still very low and my weight was very good. I start going to the doctor every two weeks now which means we are getting closer!
In fact, Abby's C-Section will be put on the hospital's schedule next week. I will receive the time at my December 16 appointment, but the date will be Tuesday, February 15. That date will not be moved for anything short of a medical emergency, but I could - of course - go into labor before that date. (February 15 is only four days earlier than Abby's actual due date).

The picture above is the diaper stacker that goes with Abby's bedding. Ann put James 1:17 on it which will also be on Abby's birth announcements. The picture below is a mobile that Ann made for Abby. It is SO precious! I wish everyone could see it in person. She did it using the base of Aaron's mobile, so it will play the War Hymn just like Aaron's did.

This outfit is from Eric and Jessica and I thought it was so sweet. Abby's Christmas presents are pouring in and her closet is starting to fill up! It is wonderful that our children are so loved!

Christmas Decorating

Oh, Baby, we are just having a fun time with you this week! We started decorating our house for Christmas this past weekend. We put you in your Christmas PJs and you had so much fun! You found your Christmas Story Blocks that Kimmie got you last year and you just played and played.

You loved all of the Christmas decorations!

On Tuesday we went to Kimmie and Papa's to decorate their tree. You started to make a paper garland with Kimmie,

but you had a lot more fun organizing and playing with Papa!

This is such a fun time of year with you! We love you so much and are so thankful for the greatest gift of all!

28 Weeks

Well, really I am almost 29 weeks, but I am just getting around to getting a picture taken. The top picture was taken today and the second picture was with Aaron at 28 weeks. I am doing well, but definitely wearing down. I feel huge and can't believe I have two months to go, but on the other hand I say, 'there is only two months to go! so much to do!' I will start freezing meals this month and trying to get prepared for having two children - can you get prepared for that?
And because I know you really don't want to see pictures of me, here are some of the first child:
Well, you can't actually see him in this picture, but Aaron is loving on a Christmas Bear that Great-Grandma Sandy gave him last year. He's got his Christmas PJs on. We were decorating the house and getting in the Spirit!
Here is a picture from my grandparent's home in Ohio. Aaron had a great time playing there and Great-grandma and Great-grandpa really enjoyed him.

Here is Little Man hamming it up for the camera.

Thanksgiving

Aaron, we just got back from our Thanksgiving trip to Ohio. You did great and everyone just loved you! You seemed to have an excellent time and we were so glad!

Monday November 22, 2010

This is the day that we flew to Ohio. We were nervous because you would be sitting on our laps and we were afraid you would be so restless, but you were wonderful. You 'read' all the magazines and handouts that were in the seat back pocket in front of you. You just did that over and over for two hours. We had packed all kinds of diversions from you, but we didn't need them!

Grandpa Tom picked us up at the airport. When we got to his house you took your nap and woke up in time for dinner. You played with Buddy for a little bit before we left for dinner. You LOVED Grandma and Grandpa's dogs and cat! You hugged all over them and they were so good with you. We went to dinner at Bob Evans and you did great. Then we went home and went to
bed. You slept well at Grandma and Grandpa's and we were so glad. You do a great job of traveling and staying on your schedules. You make things so easy for us!

Tuesday November 23, 2010

We stayed at Grandma and Grandpa's all day. You played outside with Grandpa Tom a lot. You enjoyed playing in Grandma's flower pots and everyone enjoyed watching you! That evening your aunts, uncles and cousins came over for an early Thanksgiving dinner. You loved playing with your cousins. Here is a picture of you feeding Leah cereal.

After dinner we had a photographer take Christmas pictures then we opened your Christmas presents. You got a lot of fun stuff and had a great time!

Wednesday November 24, 2010

Your dad and I did some visiting during the day and you stayed home with your grandparents. They really seemed to enjoy that and so did you! That evening we had another early Thanksgiving dinner at Grandma Beth's with your uncle Doug and aunt Mindy and your cousins. You had a great time again with your cousins.

Thursday November 25, 2010

We went to see Grandma Ruth and Papa Bill during the day. They had been at Grandma and Grandpa's on Tuesday night but we didn't get any one-on-one time with them. You played so contently with their toys and they thought you were precious.

In the afternoon we had Thanksgiving dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's with the Knox family. You watched a lot of football and here is a picture of you playing with Buddy.

Friday November 26, 2010

We flew home this day. You did great again. We went to breakfast with Grandma Sheri and Grandpa Tom and then Grandma Beth drove us to the airport. We got home in the afternoon and you took your nap. We are spending the weekend relaxing together.
