Summer of Fun, Day 17 (Family Vacation Day 1)

 We just got back from being gone six days which is a long time for our little family.  We took a Cruise with my family and it was a blast.  We have so much to share.  We left on Sunday morning and this is us on the bus at the airport.  We take the bus from Long-term Parking to the Terminal and my kids generally think it's the best park of any vacation.  Seriously.  When we get back I always stay to get the luggage while Jory gets the car and the kids go crazy trying to be the one that gets to ride the bus to the car.  Anyway...

 We flew to Orlando.  Abigail and I sat together with the boys right behind us.  It was the side of the plane with two seats and it works great for us.  Abigail was so interested in the crash instructions because it looked like people were taking a slide into the water and getting on a raft.  How fun would that be???

 We got to Orlando a little bit before my family and we read the Bible while we waited.

 Our cruise didn't leave until Monday, but we took a bus to Cape Canaveral where the cruise would leave from and spent the night at a hotel on the beach.  Here are the cousins taking advantage of the pool there.

 After swimming we got dressed for a walk on the beach.  My kids absolutely love the ocean!

 

Summer of Fun, Day 16

 So we went to pretty much the coolest party ever yesterday.

 It was Drew's 3rd birthday party and it was at this tiny airport that has a café that closes at 2 that you can rent out after that. 

 All of the kids got 'badges'.

Summer of Fun, Day 15

 We got to get out of the house on Friday.  We've been pretty tied up with stuff being done at the house, but on Friday morning we went to get Payroll, went to the carwash and ran some errands.  The kids love to tip at the car wash.

 

In the afternoon we got haircuts!

Summer of Fun, Days 13 and 14

 Yesterday was a super fun day, which was amazing since we were stuck at the house all day waiting on contractors and repairmen.  We had been trying to get to the library since it opened and we didn't make it until almost 8pm.  When Aaron got our of the car he said, "This is so nice.  What a nice night for the library!"

 

 We spent the day reading books and the kids completely finished their Summer Reading Program so they were excited to get prizes.  The kids also had a good time during the day making up different games on their own.  It was a sweet day and we really enjoyed the time together.

 

They took back their books from a few days ago and they each chose five more.  Aaron always goes to the Transportation section and I see the same rotation of books.  Abigail's are always changing and diverse.

 Today we headed to Papa and Dee's in the morning.

 The kids had a great time swimming with Papa!

 Then we picked tomatoes, ate lunch and build a Lincoln Log Cabin!

Summer of Fun, Days 11 and 12

Monday was Stay in our PJs Day.  We do this some in the Winter and the kids love it.  They also got to watch a movie which is a huge treat.  Somehow I didn't take any pictures, though!

Today Daddy worked from home which was AWESOME.  And we had our last swim class of the summer.  It was Parent Watch Day.  The kids did great and I have videos, but no pictures.  It's been a busy two days with swim in the afternoons!  Today's Summer of Fun special treat is pizza with Daddy!

Summer of Fun, Days 9 and 10

On Saturday morning we went to the library to sign up for the Summer Reading Program.  We love this!  We do it every summer.  Then we went to a make up gymnastics class.

 The kids were so anxious to give Jory his Father's Day gifts.  Aaron picked out a flash light for him.

We had Sneaker Sunday this weekend to go with our Sermon Series 'Running with God' about Jonah.  This dress was a size up for Abigail, but I tried it on Saturday night since it matched her shoes.  I cinched it up real well and it worked, but I think Julie has claimed it for the next year.  :)

Julie and I took Robert and Jory to lunch for Father's Day.  It was a great place and everything was fabulous.  The atmosphere, the food, the set up, the kids.  We couldn't have asked for more.

Julie says we are doing this every year.  Gift bought!
