Bonus Picture

I found this on Jory's phone.  It's from SeaWorld and I thought it was good!

The rest of the week

On Wednesday we did not go anywhere.  Summer of Fun Day 34 was making mud in the back yard.  The kids had a blast.  And if we would have waited until the afternoon we could have let God make the mud because we had a crazy rain storm!

The kids spent the afternoon "Working on boats".  As you can see Aaron is under this one fixing something.  They have such a great time making up stories and things to play.

Summer of Fun Day 35 the kids had these amazing Willy Wonka lollipops in the back yard

Then we ran some errands.  Aaron has been taking his SeaWorld map everywhere!

The library where he got another drawing slip.  He is over 50 hours of reading in five weeks.

The car wash

On Friday, Grandma Sheri sent a surprise package that made Summer of Fun Day 36 the best!  Aaron has been wanting a Lave Rock Volcano.  He talks about it all the time and I had a picture of him on this blog looking at it at the toy store.  Well, Grandma surprised him with it and it was a blast!  We did volcanoes for hours!

And Abigail got Connect Four which she has also been wanting and she loved it!

What a great (mostly at home) week!

The beginning of the week

The kids got American Flags to wave in church July 5th

Jory chose Summer of Fun, Day 31 to be cooking out!

While the boys were buying the groceries, Abigail and I cashed in her marble prize at Toys R Us

And at Kroger, someone gave Aaron a free balloon and he has LOVED that!

This was a sweet, fun day

Monday we had a bunch of kids over in the morning and the playroom was a bit of a wreck, so I told Aaron his Summer of Fun, Day 32 could be building forts, but he took all the stuff and made obstacle courses.  He worked long and hard on them.  He had a great time building them and Abigail had a great time going through them!

On Tuesday we went swimming at Dee and Papa's

And then had a fun afternoon at home

Sea World!

Summer of Fun, Day 29 was a big one!  We drove to San Antonio and took the kids to Sea World!  Aaron is so into sea life and we really wanted to visit again while he's in this stage (we haven't been for three years).  We had planned to go before school was out, but there was a flood and we couldn't get there.  And then with other stuff, the best thing to do was take the holiday that Jory already had off work.  It was CROWDED.  But it was fun and the kids loved it.  I am really glad we went!

The very first thing we did was go to Shamu's One Ocean.  This was walking to it.  It's such a fabulous show and we wanted to make sure we got seats.
 Aaron LOVED it!

Seeing the flamingos afterward

Aaron went on a huge roller coaster that had a long wait, so Abigail and I took in a Water Dancer show.  There were some dolphins at the end.  She LOVED the dancing.

Here is this roller coaster

 Happy and soaked!
We went to the water ski show after that

Aaron loved it and wanted to meet all of the skiers

Aaron was so into the map the whole time.  He charted the coarse
 Sea Lion Show
 Seeing the Sea Lions

This was on the way down.  I love having readers!  The car rides are manageable - and this was a long one!

This was actually right before Sea World.  We stopped for lunch at Panera and then soldiered on all day

It was a really fun day!

Summer of Fun, Days 26-28

On Tuesday we went swimming at Dee and Papa's

And I completely reorganized the playroom
On Wednesday we went to the Harkins Summer Movie

And then Aaron and I went up to the church to help with some things.  We got done early, so we went across to Main Street Bakery for a treat

Today twins from Abigail's class at school this past year had a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese!

It was a lot of fun!

Tomorrow is big fun going into a long weekend, enjoy it!
