Some Memorial Weekend Pictures

We didn't do a whole lot over the holiday weekend.  We get so excited when Daddy is home that we just like to hunker down and enjoy it.  On Monday we did go downtown and had a sweet time walking around Main Street.  We live in such a nice area.
We stopped into a pizza place that we have heard good things about.  It was great!  And I love how enthusiastic Aaron looks!

We visited Grandad and Mimi and the kids got to play with bubbles - one of their favorite things!

Look at Pipsqueak!
It was a fun family weekend even without a lot of adventures!

Gymboree

Southlake's Chick-Fil-A has so many fun things for the kids.  Today they had play time with Gymboree Play Gym.  A couple of ladies came in and played songs and games with the kids.  Abby was so excited!

The last game was bubbles!  Abby was right in there!

She was also a big fan of the dancing.  Everyone loved her!

And here's Aaron - having just as much fun in his own way.  You will notice he is holding my hand.

He let go, but he didn't go far.

After Kid Time ended, we played for a bit in the play area.  A little closer to Aaron's comfort zone.

And you know Little Girl loves the play area.
But Home is where this boy loves to be!!!

Last Day of School!

Thursday was Aaron's last day of school!  Here he is all ready to go.  I put the same shirt on him that he wore the first day, but not the same shorts.  Now that he's potty trained, he's particular about his pants and shorts - nothing with buttons that are hard to get off!  These drawstring pants are his favorite and we've stocked up!
I took a picture of his lunch because I did that on the first day of school.  You can see that post here

He was just as anxious to get to school today as he was in August!  He has enjoyed school and absolutely loves his teachers! They are precious, precious women and that entire school has been so good to Aaron.

It was hard for me to have him in school.  I hated knowing that there were days that were 'taken'
when there are so many days in the future that he will have to be in school and we won't have the freedom to pick up and do whatever we want that day.  But it has been amazing to watch him grow and change this year.  His communication skills have improved approximately 500% and he has had so many wonderful experiences that he has been able to share with us.

I am thankful for Aaron's 'school' and I'm also looking forward to summer with this sweet boy!

Fifteen Months Old

Abby is fifteen months old today!  She doesn't have her well check until next week, so I will post stats then.

She wears 24 month clothes and size 3 or 4 diapers.
She is a great eater and seems to like everything.  She loves the samples at Costco!

She is still taking two naps - at about 8:30 and 1.  Each nap lasts between an hour and an hour and a half.  She goes to bed between 6 and 7 and sleeps 11-12 hours at night.

She has definitely got a will and a bit of a temper, but she is also a sweet, smiley girl.  She LOVES to make strangers smile.  She is a lot of fun!!!  She likes to be read to and she likes to be into whatever her brother is.  She gets right down with him in the dirt.

Abby in the Hay

Sweet Girl wasn't sure what to think of the hay at first, but she ended up having a great time at the shoot last week.

Love this girl

Whatcha thinking, honey?
