Joy

I love having my kids home.  It has been a sweet week and they are especially fun to watch playing together.  This was Aaron putting together Abigail's new mixer Tuesday.  Abigail's dressing for December was a red sweater and new cords from Grandma Sheri that have rhinestones!

Cookies are done!
On Wednesday we played with the Golz's in the morning.  Abigail wore a December dress, but I didn't get a picture before a glue incident had her changing, but these PJs have snowflakes so we will count them!

My mom gave me a Starbucks gift card for Christmas and my order came yesterday!

Today we had lunch with Daddy and had the most unbelievable burgers!  Abigail is wearing a red and green dress for her last day of Dressing for December

But now we are in PJs (these are new ones - with snowflakes) and the Golzes and Elliotts are coming to celebrate New Year's Eve!

Scenes from the Weekend

This was Aaron's Santa letter up close.  I don't know if it made the other post.
We had such a wonderful holiday.  Christmas on a Friday was the best because Daddy was home for 4 1/2 consecutive days.  It was such a treat and we were sad to see him go back to work today, but it's a short week!  Abigail loved having him paint her nails and toenails on Saturday.

Grandad came on Saturday and brought fun gifts for everyone!

On Sunday we braved the cold and joined the faithful few at church.  We ate out with the Elliott's after.

Love today's Dressing for December, especially with the boots!

This was Aaron's house that he made in his class at school.  I thought it was time to let it go today and I don't think I had taken a picture.

We had a sweet day of running errands and we spent quite a bit of time at the library!

The Day After Christmas

I consider Frozen Pajamas to count as Dressing for December because of the ice and snow on them.  Abigail got these yesterday from Dee and Papa and was so glad to wear them today!  The kids have been playing all day.  Aaron is still into his Electric Football and Abigail has been enjoying all her new things.  We are getting ready for naps and then Grandad is coming over which is very exciting!  Jory and I worked out and have been attempting to come behind the kids and keep the house straightened!  We may nap too!!!  I hope your Christmas has been as wonderful as ours!

Christmas Night

After naps yesterday John and Kim came and indulged the kids (and us)!!

Abigail got this camera that she has not stopped playing with

We had a full Christmas Dinner and Aaron read the Christmas Story from the Bible to us all.

I took pictures of our tree.  The decorations are the same from when the kids did it, but I have filled in the top with Christmas Cards we received.
We had a fabulous Christmas!

Christmas Morning

We had a very sweet Christmas Morning.  Santa left each child the requested gift along with a note and an empty plate and cup!

The kids were soooo excited by their gifts.  Aaron hasn't stopped playing with his Electric Football Game

They also got to open a gift from Uncle Doug which they loved (our dressing for December is matching Christmas PJs).

We made homemade hot chocolate and had a grit casserole, fruit and sausage for breakfast

We really had a fabulous morning as a family and took long naps after lunch!

Christmas Eve

At our church's Christmas Eve Service, our family welcomed everyone to the service

And then Aaron read Luke Chapter Two to the congregation
 It was so very special

Dressing for December and Loving It

When Grandma Sheri was here, Abigail asked her for this dress and this bow when they were shopping in Grapevine.  She wore them, and her new boots, on Tuesday to the oohs and aahs of everyone we saw!

Aaron changed his bedding all by himself and is LOVING it

Wednesday was PJ Day and  Abigail's dressing for December outfit was her Mrs. Claus PJs from Mrs. Savage.

On Tuesday night Abigail learned to eat ribs at the Pazeras!

At this moment, she is learning to play piano.  Aaron has been giving her lessons!
