Project Life Tuesday

It's time for Project Life Tuesday and another week of boring pictures. We have really been hanging around the house getting it in order most days. The good news is that we are done except for some pictures and curtains! July is shaping up to be a whirlwind because I have put off getting together with a lot of people 'until we get through June'. So you can look forward to more activity in the coming weeks.

A day of unpacking.

Wednesday June 23, 2010

What a fun day! Kathy and I had planned for weeks to meet halfway between here and Houston. It was a lot of driving for a visit, but totally worth it! We did a little antique shopping, ate lunch and then went to a park. I had a wonderful time.
That night, Aaron slept in his TCU T-shirt to cheer on the Frogs during the College World Series. It worked (at least that night). They fell a few runs short of the Championship Series this weekend.

Thursday June 24, 2010
Another day of unpacking - Aaron with his lamp.

Friday June 25, 2010
Aaron and I took a break from unpacking to meet his daddy for lunch. This is a picture of a shelf in Jory's office. The blue envelope is from the card Aaron gave him for Father's Day. Aaron colored it like crazy for him and I thought it was sweet that he kept it.

Saturday June 26, 2010
We all worked on the house all day and we had to make a trip to Lowe's for supplies. This was also a great day because it was the first time Aaron sat through a whole book I was reading him. He's been doing it all the time since. He crawls up on my lap with a book and lets me read it to him without getting distracted and wanting to go play. It's such a special time.

Sunday June 27, 2010
We didn't do anything except go to church and do some things around the house.

Monday June 28, 1010
Aaron spent the afternoon at Leslie's because I had a doctor's appointment. I didn't get any pictures there, though. Apparently he had a great time, but was not a huge fan of his Uncle Toby's. I guess he can just do without Toby. We'll definitely have to overcome that, but it's pretty funny right now. On another note, Aaron got a new cousin today! Leah Lynn Johnson was born around 4pm today and is doing beautifully.

Project Life Tuesday

I am a little late on Project Life Tuesday this week. We have officially moved and we just got our Internet up today. Because of the move, we didn't do a whole lot else last week, so most days I just took a random picture of Aaron throughout the day. So, a boring week as far as descriptions go, but there are some cute pictures anyway.

Tuesday June 15, 2010

We went swimming at Laura's. We have been having such a great time getting together with her and Braysen each Tuesday. He work schedule is changing, though, so this may come to an end. We'll just have to find another time to get together, because we really enjoy this time.
This was also the first night we spent in the house and I took Aaron to dinner. I was so pleased by how good he was! It is just amazing to me.

Friday June 18, 2010

Saturday June 19, 2010
We took a little break from the move this day to run over and tell Papa John Happy Father's Day. Aaron spent an hour in the sandbox and then...

we went home and he fed himself dinner! Oh wow did he need a long bath after this afternoon. His bath time was short, though, since he pooped in the bathtub! Melissa - I totally thought of you. I can't imagine two at bath time! HA!

Sunday June 20, 2010
We went to Grandad's after church for Father's Day. Aaron had a blast there!

Monday June 21, 2010
Can you believe it??? I didn't take a single picture today! And it's so silly because we had a great day. We drove to Terrell and met Charity and Abigail from Tyler. We walked around a bit and then had lunch. It was such a nice time.
When we got back home we had to run to the Cable Company to drop off our modem since we changed Internet providers. We were amongst seven people waiting in a very slow line in a very small room. Aaron was, by far, the best behaved human there. I really wanted to take a picture of that scene, but I wasn't sure the other patrons would understand.
This week will be a lot of settling in at our new home. I hope you have a wonderful week!

Project Life Tuesday

It's time for Project Life Tuesday.

Tuesday June 8, 2010

I had a hair appointment, so I dropped Aaron off at Mimi's for a while. This is Aaron doing the Chicken Dance with Mimi. That's Elmo in a Chicken Costume dancing with them. Aaron had a great time. His cousin Alex was there and he absolutely adores Alex. She is super patient with him since she is all grown up and he's just a baby wanting her attention. Wednesday June 9, 2010

We met Leslie, Catherine and Grace at the park by our house. They have been going to this park for a long time, so it was super convenient that we moved into the neighborhood behind it! I think Aaron wears on the girls a little. They feel responsible for him and he's quite a handful to watch, but he sure loves them!

Thursday June 10, 2010

This was our Do Nothing Day! We had such a good time and we really did nothing until late afternoon when I took Aaron to an indoor pool for a bit. It was a kid's mecca - filled with balls and toys and there was no dirt to distract. Aaron had a blast!

Friday June 11, 2010
This was Aaron's 15 Month Birthday and his well check-up. We had to wait a bit between the exam and his shots because the doctor had to check a couple of things with Aaron's previous doctor. Aaron was a good waiter - mostly because there was medical equipment to play with!

Saturday June 12, 2010
This was Brielle's 2nd Birthday Party. Doesn't she look precious? Aaron had a great time - there was a little pool of water to play in, dirt and a play set!

That evening we all went for a swim at the apartment. Aaron was quite the character - we definitely don't have water fear issues!

Sunday June 13, 2010
After church we went to the house. Doesn't Aaron look cute in his shirt from Aunt Laura?

Monday June 14, 2010
Today was a Do Nothing Day, but I actually did a lot. This morning I made meals for this week and froze some for next week and this afternoon I packed up the part of the kitchen that we have been using for the past month. This is our last week in the apartment!

Aaron was quite the helper, as you can see.

I hope you had a good week. This next week will probably be pretty boring in pictures since we're going to be moving, but I'll document it any way!

15 Month Appointment

Aaron turned 15 months old today and he had his well child checkup. It was really uneventful, which is good. Everything is just dandy and Aaron is developing perfectly.
We were anxious to see how tall he is and it was funny because everyone who came in the room said, "Wow! He's long!". Yes, he is. It is amazing because he stands next to some of his friends who are a year older than he and he is taller!

He is about 34 inches and 25 pounds. That puts him in the 99th percentile for height and the 60th for weight.

He is still a great eater. And a very happy baby!

Big Boy!

Here are some pictures of Aaron being our Big Boy this week.

Rearranging our patio furniture Helping Daddy at the house

Eating lunch with Mama and Daddy at the dining room table. He is in his booster, but doesn't he look so grown up?

Getting that shaggy mop cut! He doesn't look thrilled, but he sure looks cute!

Drinking from a juice container. He drinks from cups unsupervised now and we only have a spill about once a week. Then he'll say "Oh! Oh!"
