Last Sunday

I had quite a time getting pictures of the kids after church.
Abby's hair was crazy when we picked her up from nursery.
Her dress is another one that Rebekah is letting us borrow.
A little yogurt snack
Sunday was the 21st so we had Muster.
Childcare was provided by our babysitter and her friends so it worked out nicely.

Checking out the water fountain on the way in.
The kids got to come eat with us before the ceremony.
It was a wonderful day and a special evening.

Family Fun Saturday

This past Saturday was Main Street Arts Festival in downtown Fort Worth.  The art was absolutely amazing.
The kids go to make their own art, too!
We were there early because we picked up our produce baskets on the way so we got to have the street to ourselves for a bit.
The kids at the JFK Memorial

On our way to the car after the festival we stopped at Barnes and Noble.  The kids had a blast.
In the evening, we had some friends over for homemade pizza (they brought it from their grill!) and euchre.  It was a fun day.

Happy Anniversary!

I love this man so much.  I am eternally grateful for the encouraging, compassionate, hard working and  loving leader, father and husband he is.

Swim

Here's another picture of Abby at swim class. I'm not in Aaron's class area so I don't get pictures of him anymore.  Abby is doing great.  I sure hope this all translates to a happy swimmer this summer!

Fun pictures

Rebekah sent us this dress and I love Abby in it.  She got to wear it yesterday when it was nice before Old Man Winter blew in this morning.
Aaron wearing my brother's robe.  I sent Doug a picture of it.  I think my grandmother made it. Aaron really likes his robe.

School Stuff

Here are the kids school pictures.  I thought they turned out well.  School pictures sure have changed!
Aaron made this caterpillar with an egg carton at school.  I don't have a great way to save it, so I thought I'd take a picture of it.  He did a great job.

Sunday

Sunday was a super sweet day. Most of my pictures from that day are on my camera, so there are more to come.

I thought Abby looked precious in Cilla's super beautiful dress that Rebekah is letting us borrow.  I had a rough time getting a good picture, though.

I sure am glad that I took some before church though because there was a Spaghetti Dinner immediately after service that I had forgotten about.  I absolutely changed Abby out of this dress before lunch.  You are welcome, Rebekah.
I thought that Jory's Sunday School lesson was awesome on Sunday.  Such a fabulous start to the day. We sat with our friends the Clarks at the Spaghetti Lunch and had such a good time of fellowship.
Abby mowing after nap.

Once everyone was up and ready we headed to downtown Grapevine where Thomas the Train was in town.
There were lots of fun, free Thomas things to do and play with.  It was a mecca for the Train Lover.  And then, of course, we rode Thomas.  Papa and Dee went with us and then we had hamburgers at Tolbert's.
It was such a great day.

Family Fun Saturday

I know I have a lot of pictures from this weekend on my camera, but I will start with what was on my phone.

We headed out in the morning to drop something off at the Elliots' who were having a garage sale.  We visited there for a while and then went to look at something we had seen on a trade site.

At that point we were near Roanoke, so we walked around there for a bit and then ate lunch at Hard Eight BBQ
After lunch Aaron danced to the country music on the dance floor
Hard Eight is next door to Hey Sugar, so we stopped in the candy store before heading home.
While the kids we napping our babysitter came over and Jory and I headed to the annual Masters Party at the Fisher's.  We LOVE this thing.  It was a great time and we saw so many fun people.

After the party we went out in Fort Worth and went to several places we had been wanting to check out.  We had a lovely dinner at a restaurant we had not yet been to and then we headed home. It was a fantastic day.

Aaron and Abby

I thought these were some fun pictures of the kids.  Sometimes Aaron doesn't want his picture taken and sometimes he really hams it up.
Doesn't Abby look so big here?

Aaron was picking her up.
He loves to hold his sister.

Aaron's Monthly Interview

Forty-nine months and counting! I do have fun with his interview.

What is your name? Aaron
How old are you? Four
What is your favorite color? Dark Green
Who is your best friend? Abby my girl friend
What is your favorite animal? A reptile
What do you want to be when you grow-up? A fire fighter
Who is your favorite person? Dee
What is your favorite book? Spiderman goes to school (I don't think that's an actual book)
What makes you happy? When I don’t get in trouble
What makes you sad? When I get in trouble
What is your favorite food to eat? Vitamins
What is your favorite song to sing? The bee flies south (I am almost positive that's not an actual song)

We had Aaron's Progress Conference at school today.  He is doing great!  The teacher said he LOVES to read.  He just adores books and he reads to anyone who will sit for him.  He loves to organize things.  Sorting is a fun pastime for him. He also likes to take things that other people have just because he wants them. We're working on that.

April Catch Up, Part Two

Wednesday April 10, 2013
This is Aaron teaching sign language to Baby Asa
Thursday April 11, 2013
After a weekend of nice weather it was down right cold this week.  Turtlenecks and sweaters (and sundresses).
Mrs. Mary sent me this class picture taken on Thursday.
The kids have swim on Thursday afternoons and I just love to watch them having fun with it! Rebekah Harris sent up a bunch of swimsuits of Cilla's and this was one of them.  SO cute.
Friday April 12, 2013
Instead of meeting Daddy for lunch this week we did breakfast on Friday.  We ate at Main Street Bakery which Aaron loves.

After breakfast the kids and I tore up the Farmers Market.  I think I have pictures of that on my phone.  Then when we were running errands Elizabeth Huffman texted and asked if we wanted to meet for lunch at Chick Fil A.  Of course we did so we got to eat with this cutie!  (Aaron took this picture).
Abby wanting her food please.
As always, we are in a different outfit after nap.  Lunch and play time is hard on our clothes.

After nap we ran some errands and then picked up Fuzzy's for a fun Friday treat for Daddy.  The weather was over it's cold phase and it was a beautiful evening to sit outside.
