Project Life Tuesday

It's time for Project Life Tuesday

Tuesday August 24, 2010

Aaron and I got to meet Daddy for lunch. We had such a nice time!

Wednesday August 25, 2010

Aaron and I had a late lunch with Maria, Brielle and Emma. Then we did some shopping around Southlake Town Square.
Thursday August 26, 2010
We loaded up and headed to Tyler! We had such a good time there. I will do a separate post about our visit.

Friday August 27, 2010
Aaron went to his first Chuck E Cheese birthday party! Abigail turned three and we got to hang out with so many of our dear friends!

Saturday August 28, 2010
Aaron and I were tired from our Tyler trip, so we spent a quiet weekend at home. It was a very enjoyable family weekend. We did get out on Saturday to try a new breakfast place and run a few fun errands.

Sunday August 29, 2010
I took so many good shots this day, but this one was my favorite!

Monday August 30, 2010
Aaron and I had some last minute changes in our plans so we got a day at home and it was precious! We did take a break to go meet Daddy at lunch. It was funny because when we got to the restaurant Aaron was asleep. Jory didn't want to wake him and it just so happened that the restaurant shared a parking lot with Whataburger! Jory walked over there and got us lunch and we ate it in the car while Aaron slept! I told him we are becoming Whataburger regulars! Aaron woke up as we were finishing, so we crawled in the back seat and watch him eat his lunch. It was really a fun little break.

Project Life Tuesday

It's time for Project Life Tuesday.

Tuesday August 17, 2010

I had a Thirty-one Party to do at Laura's, so Kimmie came and stayed with Aaron. Kids were actually welcome at the party and Aaron had been planning to go with me, but Kimmie asked for a play date so this worked out well for everyone. Aaron had so much fun! Wednesday August 18, 2010

Jory went out of town so Aaron and I met him for lunch before his flight!
Thursday August 19, 2010
A friend of ours from Tyler has a niece that lives two miles from us. She is 16 and she drives and she loves to babysit. We had her come over and meet Aaron to see if he would approve. He did and they had a fun time. I left for about an hour and they played and she fed him lunch.

Friday August 20, 2010
We had planned to spend the day with our good friend Debbie, but she started chemotherapy on Thursday and was worn out on Friday. So Aaron and I had a day to ourselves at the house. It was nice for us.

Saturday August 21, 2010
Kimmie and Papa came and left their car at our house and we drove them to the airport for their big trip to Alaska. We live super close to the airport which is new for us and very nice. Aaron enjoyed seeing his grandparents more than this picture lets on.

After the airport we went straight to Dallas and spent the afternoon in Sarah and Daniel's pool! Then Daniel cooked some awesome shrimp on the grill and we had a fabulous dinner. We had a wonderful day!

Sunday August 22, 2010
We paid a visit to Grandad and Mimi and Aaron had a blast, as usual!

Monday August 23, 2010
We were invited to a play date near our house. It was so nice! There was a play kitchen in the playroom, so I didn't see Aaron at all until someone called for snacks! :) I had a great time visiting with the other moms. And the host lent me a lot of maternity clothes which made my day!

Hope your week was a fun as ours!

How's your Whatachicken?

Jory went out of town for a few days this week and we decided that we would meet for lunch before he caught his flight. We chose Fuddrucker's and decided that if we were there when they opened at 11 we could enjoy lunch and Jory wouldn't have any trouble getting to the airport on time. I reviewed the kid's menu online and there were things that Aaron would eat and healthy sides so I didn't pack him a meal .
When we pulled up at 10:45am, there were about 45 adults in matching softball jerseys waiting outside Fuddrucker's for it to open! In case you don't know, you have to wait in line at Fuddrucker's to order and we were going to be behind 45 people ordering burgers! So we called an audible and went to the only restaurant nearby - Whataburger! It was a fun lunch and I was pleased to learn that Whatburger offers whole wheat buns. Who knew?

Baby Details

I thought I'd tell you what we know regarding this little guy's brother or sister. First of all, we are thrilled to be blessed with a second child. I am almost fourteen weeks pregnant and the due date would normally be February 19. Since it will be a C-Section it will be scheduled a few days early. Right now it is set at Tuesday February 15.
I have felt great. I have actually had no symptoms with this pregnancy. It made me a little nervous, honestly. I really didn't have any symptoms with Aaron, but I did get tired which I have not this time. Also with Aaron I had food cravings (fruit) and food aversions (chicken) from the get go. I have had no changes in appetite, cravings or anything this time around.

We have had three sonograms with this baby which is more than we had with Aaron the whole time! We will have at least one more. Everything has looked good. I will say that this baby is a lot less active than Aaron from what I can see. The doctor had a hard time at every visit with Aaron to get a good heartbeat because he moved so much. When he was bigger he kicked the Doppler off of me at each visit! This baby doesn't get worked up over the Doppler and it has to be woken up several times during sonograms. That was never an issue with Aaron - they were always wishing he would hold still!

This baby's heart beat was 161 at the 12 week sonogram. I gained one pound during the first trimester. I gained six with Aaron! Of course, now I am chasing Aaron and I can promise you that I am a lot more physically active during my days that I used to be!

As far as whether this is a girl or a boy we have no idea and no preference. We couldn't guess if we had to. The Old Wives Tale Quizzes I have taken say BOY, but they said girl with Aaron...I know the Chinese Lunar Calendar is supposed to always be right (HA!) and it says BOY, but it said girl with Aaron. My dad says BOY and he swears he is always right and he was with Aaron, so it may be a boy. Sheri says Girl, but I think that's just because she wants us to have one of each. No one else has weighed in. Kimmie just wants to know so badly that it's killing her because she's got shopping to do. I don't think she cares either way, she just wants to know. I have dreamt twice that it is a BOY and I did dream that Aaron was a boy, so maybe...We have names for both, bedding picked for both and lots of of love for whichever God gives us.

Family Fun

This weekend Jory's Aunt and two of his cousins came in from Washington, DC. We had a Lobrecht Family Get Together at John and Kim's. It was so much fun! Somehow I didn't get pictures of anyone but Aaron, though! He was quite the social butterfly and let everyone hold him and play with him. He was quite the center of attention.

John had set up 'stadium seating' around the sand box so everyone could sit and watch Aaron doing what he loves the most.

When he's not in the sand box, though, Little Man has to have his life jacket on. I say it's because my heart can't handle him running around the yard without it. Jory's view is that Aaron needs to learn a habit now that outside at the grandparents' equals life jacket. Either way, he was bundled up.

He had such a good time in the pool! He was in there a long time with Daddy and Papa.

And then he and Sandie enjoyed dinner together!

Chuck E Cheese

Aaron had his first Chuck E Cheese experience and had a blast! He rode several rides, but Bob the Builder was his favorite!

He figured out real quick what those tokens are for! It was so nice to have Ann and her kids there. They love Aaron and he loves them.

After lots of playing, Aaron tore up the salad bar. I may be past the point that he can eat off my plate!

Project Life Tuesday

It's time for Project Life Tuesday and we have such an exciting week to share!

Tuesday August 10, 2010

Grandma Beth went back to Ohio and Aaron was so sad to see her go. He sure did miss her the next day! We are happy that we will see her in just a few months! Wednesday August 11, 2010

Aaron had some much needed Grandad and Mimi time while Jory and I went to my 12-Week Doctor's appointment. I meant to take a picture of Jory at the doctor, but I was so nervous I forgot. We had a blessedly uneventful appointment and a heartbeat of 161. And Aaron had a blast at his grandparents. It took me a while to get him out of there!

Thursday August 12, 2010
We had a sonogram appointment and, due to a babysitting snafu, Aaron got to go with us. He was very good and just quietly stared at the baby. We are teaching him to say 'baby'. The sonogram looked great. They tried to see the gender, but it wasn't to be. We'll know soon enough.

Friday August 13, 2010
Aaron and I had a much needed day at home. We cleaned and we played a lot. I had a wonderful time with my boy!

Saturday August 14, 2010
Jory and Aaron ran to the store in the morning and they came back with these flowers that Aaron picked out for me! How sweet is that?!?

Sunday August 15, 2010
We had a family day - church, nap, Home Depot...I didn't get many pictures, but it was a nice day.

Monday August 16, 2010
Aaron's first Chuck E Cheese experience! He had such a good time! I thought he would just sit and watch, but he ran around, played and rode some rides! We went with Ann and her kids and had a wonderful time.

We hope your week was as blessed as ours.

Surprise!

As of yesterday, I am exactly three months pregnant. I entered my second trimester (14th week) yesterday and am so thrilled to be there. We have had a wonderfully uneventful pregnancy so far. This baby will be born via a scheduled C-Section (assuming it doesn't have other ideas and comes early) on Tuesday February 15. For our scrapbooks, this is me at 13 weeks pregnant. The picture below was taken almost exactly two years ago when I was at the same stage in my pregnancy with Aaron.

We will find out the gender of this baby, assuming it cooperates. We should know in about two months and neither of us has any clue what it will be. Not that it would mean anything if I had an idea since I KNEW Aaron was a girl! HA!
