Before Florida

I had thought I was caught up on pictures before we left, but I guess I had several I hadn't posted.  These are more from Red Ribbon Week - Hat Day.  I asked her who taught her to pose and she said Mrs. Fair - they posed for their school pictures!

I got to babysit last week.  LOVE

Florida, Day Three

Abigail started Sunday morning by swimming for about three hours.

Aaron got to fish with Grandpa!

We took a boat ride!

We went to lunch and then Sweet Pea took a nap

And Aaron did some homework with Grandma's help
Then we went shopping (Abigail has shown everyone her new shoes) and headed to the airport

We ate dinner at the airport and then headed home to Daddy.
He was so excited to have us back!
We had a great trip!

Florida, Day Two

These are a little out of order since the top picture was actually taken at night on the second day.  The kids got big activity books and they are so into them.  They are doing them as I type this.
The kids got up early every day and Abigail could not wait to get to swimming.  She couldn't even sit still for breakfast.  She would swim for about an hour before Aaron even got started.

We went to the zoo this day.  We stopped at Cracker Barrel first, but those pictures are later.

This was a super fun zoo and we even rode a camel!

Cracker Barrel picture, Aaron learning to play checkers.

That night we ordered pizza and while Abigail swam again, Aaron and Grandpa carved a pumpkin.  Aaron is SOOOO proud of this pumpkin!

We put a candle in it!

More checker pictures

 A really fun second day!

Trick or Treating

We went to a shopping center on the water (where we went last year)
The kids got a LOT of candy and it was super fun with live music.

I thought these turned out great

A little help with the headband
After trick or treating we went to dinner and then Aaron got a massive splinter that Grandpa Tom dug out of his finger.  As a reward, he got ice cream.

I don't know why Abigail got ice cream.
It was a great day!

Halloween Trip, Day One

This year, the kids and I again went to Florida to spend Halloween with the grandparents while Daddy spent the weekend hunting.

Last year they wore their costumes on the plane, but I switched that at the last minute this year and I thought they looked super cute in their Halloween outfits.

The kids did SO great at the airport!  I decided not to check a bag, so I was carrying a heavy bag with all of our stuff and my purse/bag.  So I couldn't easily hold hands and they had to have their own carry-ons with their airplane things.  They were fantastic at security.  They took off their coats and back packs and put their liquids in a bin.  They were very efficient and we didn't hold anyone up.   When we got through they grabbed their things and found a bench to start putting everything back together.  I walked behind the kids so I could see them and Aaron led, finding the gate and the seats all by himself.  In fact, on the way back, as we were getting on the plane someone stepped between us to mess with an overhead bin.  By the time I made it to the seats the kids were already settled with their backpacks under the seat in front of them.  I told Jory I wondered if they did so well because they knew they had responsibilities.

We swam as soon as we got to the house (after eating lunch) and then we got dressed for trick or treating.  Abigail was Blueberry Muffin (from Strawberry Shortcake).

Aaron was a police officer.

Trick or Treat pictures to come!
