Thanksgiving Feast

Aaron's class had a Thanksgiving Feast Friday and Abby and I got to go.
 It was super fun!
The class was so nice to include Abby.

She had her own seat at the table and got to do everything the big kids did.

Afterwards, the kids went to centers and Abby went to.  You would have never known that she isn't part of this class every day.

And, oh sweet child.  When we left she wore Aaron's feather hat which was way too big for her and was running around outside with it falling over her eyes.

She couldn't see, but she was having a blast!
It was a super fun day and everyone was so super sweet.  We have really loved being a part of this school.

Fun Facts

I post a lot of pictures and I don't really Blog any more about what the kids are doing and saying and liking and they are at such a fun, cute stage!  I don't want to forget.  So I'm going to try to do some posts with fun facts about the babies.

1.  Aaron is very specific.  He loves details and he loves to say things correctly.  His teacher loves to send me little snippets of what he will say.  Like when he orders "the deli style sandwich" at lunch.

 2.  Aaron loves to buy his lunch at school.  He is showing so much independence.  I can not believe this is the same boy who two months ago couldn't walk from the car to the front door of the school by himself.  Now he RUNS in, racing his friends.
 3.  Aaron has received a sticker for good behavior every single day of school this year.  He loves school and is thriving there.  He comes home and teaches us everything he learned.  I hear him having class and he will ask the 'students' a question then he will call on himself to answer.

 4.  Aaron buttoned every button on the shirt in this picture by himself and he was SO proud.  He's putting on his jacket and socks by himself and can now wear pants with zippers and snaps instead of just elastic waistbands.

5.  Abby is loud.  Seriously.  And hilarious.  And when she's playing by herself I hear her say things like "Oh golly!"  and "Whoopsie Daisy!"

 6.  Aaron and Abby can both do a pretty good version of the Hotty Toddy cheer and it makes me proud.

7.  Abby can sing most of Amazing Grace (all verses) and Aaron sings a whole bunch of verses to London Bridge, all except one I did not know existed.

8.  If you read Aaron a book one time he can generally, more or less, read it from memory from there on out and he knows when to turn the pages.

 9.  Abby LOVES her brother.  She wants to show him everything and tell him everything and hear about everything he did that day.  At night I sing her a song about how Mommy and Daddy and Jesus love her and she always says "you didn't say Bubby!".

 10.  I think it is so fun that both of my kids told Santa what they want for Christmas this year and that they are going to get it on Christmas morning.

Picture with Santa

We love getting the kids' picture made with Santa at the Gaylord
We were so proud of them for going up by themselves this year
They told Santa their names and Aaron told him what they wanted for Christmas.  Twice, just to be sure.
By the way, the would be a Wild Animal Park which is something he found in a toy catalog and has been looking at every day for weeks.  Santa didn't seem to think asking for a Wild Animal Park was strange.

ICE!

We went to ICE! at the Gaylord with John and Kim yesterday.  None of us had ever been.  It is a tour of ice sculptures made with 2 million pounds of ice.  Each year has a theme.  This year is The Nutcracker.

This is a tunnel made entirely of ice that took you from the Nutcracker exhibit to Christmas in New York

Here are the kids in a taxi made entirely of ice.  Just to clarify, everything in all of these pictures is made entirely of ice. Except my kids.

Afterwards we went snow tubing and the kids LOVED that!

The very first thing we saw was a train.  Aaron was hooked.

An apple for New York.  This whole thing is in the Gaylord, but it's 9 degrees because it's, ummm, ice, so everyone is pretty bundled up.
Look at this ballerina!  My favorite!
Aaron said, "I'm a soldier!"

The finale was a nativity scene.  I couldn't capture it, but it was breath taking!!!!
And Aaron found a piece of ice on the floor and he was so excited to have a piece of the exhibit!

The Gaylord!

Our kids love the Gaylord.  The LOVE it.  They could spend hours there every day.  But Christmas time is the best.  The Gaylord's Christmas Extravaganza started Thursday so we headed up this morning for Family Fun Saturday.
