Downtown Grapevine

On Monday morning we did some fun experiments with our Christmas gifts

Then Dad and Sheri came for a visit
We decided to go to lunch in downtown Grapevine.  We love our sweet downtown and the shops and the restaurants, but we've kind of steered clear of it around Christmas.  As the Christmas Capital of Texas, it gets rather busy.  But we took advantage of the lovely weather and walked downtown.  It was so fun.  And Abigail went into several of the shops with Grandma and has had a great time showing everyone her wares!

Thumb wrestling!

This was just a fantastic visit and weekend!

My Birthday!

What a wonderful day of celebrating I had Sunday!  Sheri actually brought this cake on Saturday from my favorite bakery (on the plane, yes) and we enjoyed it Saturday night after a fabulous dinner Jory grilled for us (which was my birthday request).

On Sunday morning the kids got right to work with their new presents they had received from Christmas with the Grandparents the night before.  Aaron is digging for dinosaur bones!

Abigail with new dolls and new boots

She took her dolls (and wore her boots) to church.  I am calling this a Dressing for December dress because it's velvet and that counts.  And it was mine and it makes me happy when she wears it.

Lunch after church at the Cotton Patch.  Church was a fun time with lots of love and gifts from my church family.
We had adult hang out time while the kids rested and then drove around for a while.  Then Ms. Michelle came so that the four of us could go out for a birthday dinner which was really a surprise dinner party with my favorite people.

It was such a fun, fun night!!!!

Christmas with Grandparents

My dad and Sheri came in for the weekend and we celebrated Christmas and my birthday.  We had a wonderful time!

Abigail's dressing for December dress wasn't on very long on Saturday because she couldn't wait to be Elsa for her grandparents

Christmas Parties - NEW CAMERA

My inlaws gave me a new camera for my birthday and it was the superest nicest gift ever!  I have been wanting this camera but it is impossible to find (which they verified).  I tested it out for the first time today.  It has a most amazing zoom which is why I wanted it.  It is supposed to take incredibly clear pictures of your kid on the gym floor when you are in the top row of the bleachers. And it's all one camera, no changing lenses.  I am so excited!!!

Aaron's party was first

This was from across the room.  I was working with the zoom.  This is Preston and his family.

I LOVE her teacher!  Aaron had Mrs. Kaczmarski when he was in Pre-K 4.
It was a fun day and Christmas Break has officially begun.  Grandma and Grandpa come tomorrow!!!!

Dressing for December, Days 16 and 17

This was a fun Christmas tree dress
Thursday was Polar Express Day at school so everyone wore PJs!

 Aaron's school doesn't do it
We met our friends at the park like we always do on Thursdays and I didn't make Abigail change first.

Dressing for December Days 14 and 15

You can't really see her reindeer dress here, but the kids' babysitter, Michelle, bought them a card game called Eye Found It and they love it!  They couldn't wait to get home from school to play it together!

Sweet Sis

Abigail loves to Play School and she's been playing it every second of every day since she got to be Teacher at School!  Here are some pictures her real teacher sent me:
Lunch in the Teacher's Lounge (where she got cake!).
With her teacher in the classroom
Faculty meeting in the library.  She got to wield her power when it came to who got iPad time and who got stickers!

This weekend we decorated Dee and Papa's Christmas tree!

Then we went to a Bell Choir Performance in Fort Worth and I saw this girl sleep in the car for maybe the first time ever!  It was a big day!

Today she wore another plaid dress and she matched Charlie's shirt at church but he did not want his picture made with her!
