Sweet Girl

Ohio

We had a great trip to Ohio! It was a whirlwind and we definitely need to go back, but I loved every minute. Most of the pictures I got were of people holding Abby, she was a hit! This picture was taken at lunch the last day we were there. This was taken at my niece's birthday party where we got to stop ever so briefly on Saturday (we got there after the presents and left before the cake!). But I was just thrilled to be a part of it. Miss Leah turned one year old yesterday!

The next two pictures were taken on Saturday at the lake. We got in Thursday afternoon and put the kids down for a nap. Then my brothers and their kids came over and we just had a blast! My babies slept in on Friday morning which is a rarity!

On Friday we went to a picnic at the park with our family's company and I loved that so much. That was pretty much the extent of Friday! The days are pretty short when you've got naps and early bed times! On Saturday we got up and headed to the lake to see my mom and Mike.

We had such a good time, but it was short, too. Doug and his kids were there and I just love spending time with my nieces and nephews. On Saturday night we had the birthday party so we got a little more niece and nephew time. Sunday we got to go see my grandparents and I was so, so glad to do that. Then we did lunch, nap and headed to the airport. Like I said, we must go back!

Summer Day

Great Grandparents

While we were in Ohio we got to spend time with my grandparents. They loved seeing their newest great-grandchild and I was thrilled to get these pictures!

Four Month Well Check

Abby had her four month appointment last week...and then we headed to Ohio, so I am just now posting and doing it with some random pictures from our trip.

Abby is very healthy and everything looked good. She is VERY tall. She is actually the same length that Aaron was at 4 months (27 inches) which is very tall for a boy and unbelievable for a girl. She is in the 99th percentile for height and she is the length of an average 8 month old. Her feet are as long as the average 8 month old's, as well (though they seem skinny to me).

She is 15 pounds. That is the 80th percentile and she is the weight of an average 5 month old. Her head is the size of an average 4 month old, though!

She is sleeping 10-12 hours at night (usually 7pm to 6am). She takes three naps during the day: a short one in the morning and the late afternoon and a long one around noon. She naps 4-6 hours during the day.

She eats every three hours during the day and not at all in the night. She loves to be on her stomach and she is starting to scoot a little. She rolls a lot and kicks A LOT. She is very smiley. And she still sucks her fingers. All The Time.

Play Date

Elizabeth hosted the weekly play date Wednesday and Aaron could not wait to go! He loves it there. Here he is washing a car!

I took the kids to Kimmie's on Tuesday and Laura brought their great-grandma Joanne over to see them!

Four Months Old!

Abigail Elizabeth Allen, you are four months old today and such a JOY! You are a super smiley baby. You love people and you love to be held. You are definitely showing signs of being social.

You wear 6 month clothes and a size 2 diaper. You roll over - both ways - a lot and are starting to get some travelling distance. As soon as we lay you down you flip over. You really love to be on your stomach. You are starting to show signs of scooting, too.

You love your feet! You also love to kick your legs.

You are a happy, sweet baby and we love you so much!

Wordless Wednesday

Aaron

Aaron turned 27 months this week. The biggest change is how much he is talking! Lots of full sentences and his use of pronouns is really amazing to me. He still doesn't talk much if at all around people other than Jory and I and he's still hard to understand, but he sure is practicing!

He is loving the weather and it is hard to get him inside! He loves all trucks, but his current favorite is the backhoe.

Saturday

Aaron started swim lessons Saturday! Here he is all ready to go. Here he is about to jump to Daddy.

After lessons we went to Nash Farm where Aaron played with toy tractors while Abby relaxed in the shade.

We had such a good Saturday!
