What we've been doing lately

Wednesday June 1, 2011

My friend Elizabeth is hosting play dates at her house every Wednesday this summer and we are so excited about it. It's a great way for moms to stay connected during the summer when so many things are on hiatus and Aaron loves Miss Elizabeth's house! She has a sand box and a pool! This was the first play date and it sure was hot. We'll bring swim suits next time!

Another first this day is that Abby started cereal! Here is Aaron feeding it to her after he made it for her. He was so proud! A lot of the bites didn't actually make it to her mouth and those that did got shoved down her throat. It's no wonder that second children are generally laid back...do they have a choice?

We met Papa and Kimmie for lunch in Fort Worth. I love this picture!

After we got home Aaron played in the kitchen. The boy has so many toys and he plays with the pots and pans.

I took the kids to Friday Fun at the Farm at Nash Farm. Aaron spent about 45 minutes watering the same plant. It's a good thing we've been in a drought!

We had a family day! Sunday June 5, 2011

For Kimmie's birthday we took the kids to her house after church. Papa said it was the best gift we could have given her!

Monday June 6, 2011

Is this a good look? Pajama pants, Polo shirt, sandals...at least he wasn't wearing socks, too, though he tried! Obviously we didn't go anywhere this day. This was the day of the first Ladies' Bible Study at our house and I spent the day getting prepared!

Aaron continued to work on his feeding skills.

I took the kids to Kimmie and Papa's for the day. Papa came home for lunch. Aaron had lots of sandbox time but didn't get in the pool.

Wednesday June 8, 2011

Aaron recently graduated from Gerber Baby Oatmeal (I know) to real oatmeal. He calls it Big Boy Cereal and he loves it. He would eat it constantly if he could. This day Kimmie came over and kept Aaron while I went to the doctor. That evening Jory and I went to a really fun fundraiser at TCU.

I have more pictures from this weekend, but this was a start!

That last picture of Aaron feeding Abby is hilarious!
