Thirty-one Days of Fun, Days 22-24

Friday was such a crazy day!  When we woke up it was 68 degrees and raining.  We had one of the most pleasant weekends weather-wise ever and it was in the middle of August.

The kids took full advantage of the mud.

Aaron also traced his hand (on top, I did the bottom one) and sent this picture to his Daddy

Abby wore a long sleeve dress that day and was Loving the starts on her ties.
On Saturday we had Sunday School friends over to cook out and Abby colored this picture on my phone and saved it as a picture.
Sunday was SO fun.  Aaron helped grill for the first time.  Jory walked him through all of the steps.

He was so proud to have made the hamburgers.

Abby mixed the ground beef with all the ingredients for burgers so she was super proud to have made the burgers, too!

Thirty-one Days of Fun, Day Twenty-one

The CR Smith Aviation Museum has had a special Lego Exhibit this month.
We decided to check it out on Thursday.
It was so fun!  We were there several hours and could have been there several more.
Above Abby is racing Lego cars.  Below she's listening to museum dialog about an exhibit.  She loved the phones!

The big Legos.  There were also tables with tons of little Legos to build with.

31 days of fun, days 17-20

On Sunday Abby had big fun at church even though she doesn't look like it here.  Miss Mandi took her to the big kid class because she loves Abby so much and everyone had such a good time playing with her.
After church we went to lunch at an Asian restaurant I've been wanting to try.  I love to see my kids eating fun things!
I had a couple of fun things planned for Monday, but we ended up taking the day off to get caught up at home.  Here's Abby steam mopping in her ballet shoes which is super fun, right?

On Tuesday we went swimming at the Huffman's and had a wonderful time, but I didn't take any pictures.  However, I took several on Wednesday when we went to Dee and Papa's.
Aaron's first back flip.  And that's Abby figuring out the squirt gun.

Thirty-one Days of Fun, Days 15 & 16

On Friday morning Jory was off work and he took Abby for a little Daddy Daughter time.  Aaron and I ran some errands and he convinced me to take him to Starbucks!
On Saturday, Abby went to spend the morning with a friend and Aaron had lots of Daddy time!  They played in the mud, read books and watched movies.  Aaron got Bob the Builder this week at the library and was so excited to watch it with his Daddy!

Thirty-one Days of Fun, Days 13 and 14

On Wednesday we went to Dee and Papa's for some swimming, sand boxing and
Reading.
On Thursday we made mud in the morning.  I'm sure if you live in Ohio where it's rained all summer you can't understand the concept of making your own mud, but it's how we roll here and the kids love it!
In the afternoon I had to meet someone to pick up something.  This Starbucks was halfway and it happened to be around dinner time, so the kids shared a panini and yogurt.
They do love Starbucks!

Thirty-one Days of Fun, Days 10-12

I still don't have my camera back and any pictures that involve moving children (all of them) are blurry on my phone.

On Sunday we went straight from church to pick Daddy and Mr. Toby up at the airport.  That was a Day of Fun, Indeed.  The kids were SO excited to see their daddy and tell him EVERYTHING he'd missed.  (Plus we like going to the airport).

On Mondays the local movie theatre does $2 movies for toddlers.  They have special kids snack packs and booster seats and it's a great experience since it is geared completely to toddlers and everyone in the theatre has at least one young child. This Monday was March of the Penguins and the kids loved it. I was so glad that Aaron was there to narrate because there were a lot of details that Morgan Freeman missed like "Those are penguins! It's snowing!  That sound is wind!  That's a BABY PENGUIN!" Oy.

After the movie we went to pick up Abby's very first doll house
Which has produced sooo much play time for everyone.
She even wanted to skip a meal to play (!)
On Tuesday we went to the mall because I had a few things to return.
Aaron got pretzels which are absolutely all he needs to make a Day of Fun.

This is him dancing in Old Navy.  The general public is so glad when I am out with my kids.
But, THEN, oh my GOODNESS!
We rode the Mall Train!  Just color this boy Happy!

Mom's Groups

Kelly's Korner is doing a linkup of Mom's Groups today.  I have been involved with MOPS in the past and am now a part of MIA, which is similar to MOPS, at our church.  It's a wonderful group, but it's big and I think I have been most blessed by a small group of women who meet every other week for a Bible Study.  We are about to start our sixth book and one of the ladies chose

We begin that study in three weeks.  We have done so many wonderful and very different studies, but the blessing has been in how these women have loved, prayed for and raised up each other.  Even as the members have changed somewhat overtime that fellowship has  grown and strengthened.  It is an amazing thing that I look so forward to.

Thirty-one Days of Fun, Days 7 through 9

This is Thursday morning.  I don't know why Abby has bunny ears on and her bow all crazy.
After this, Miss Kristen came over to keep the kids for a bit and they ordered pizza which is more than enough to make it a day of fun in Abby's book.

But that afternoon we ran some errands and Aaron said that the one thing that could really make this a Day of Fun is if we went to Sprouts and got chocolate covered pretzels.
So we did.

On Friday morning we went swimming at Dee and Papa's

That's a big Day of Fun

Saturday morning, Erin came over to take some pictures of the kids.  After the kids sat through the formal stuff they got to change clothes and make mud in the backyard for some Day of Fun pictures!  So fun!
