The kids are doing great in swim. I think we will reap the rewards this summer!
Papa and Dee pay for the kids to be in swim lessons. It's a vital part of living in Texas and definitely important since Dee and Papa have a pool and a lake house. It has been such a gift to us!
This is Abby doing the back float with Mr. Andrew.
And here is a funny Abby story. She had been in a Mommy and Me class for two semesters and had advanced past the goals for that class, so the school decided to promote her to an independent class early. She is about a year younger than everyone else in her class. She has to go into class and sit in her spot and wait her turn and follow instructions and not randomly jump into the water and such. She does GREAT. BUT, the first lesson when she realized I was not getting in with her was traumatic. If you have not seen Abby throw a fit you have not seen anything. It is special. And I mean that. She was MAD. Very, very mad. She continued to swim, but screamed the whole time. At one point, Mr. Andrew let her go to swim to the wall. She swam to it, climbed out and started to walk away. He said, "No! Come back!" She stopped, turned around, looked him dead on and said "No." Then she turned back around a walked away. He had to get out of the pool to catch her.
